everyone one talking about Metal gear but no one is saying anthing about Metal Slug. Metal Slug would work as a Hollywood movie. good action scenes, some comic elements, a guy who doen't dead no mater how many times you kill him and a big final over the top final battle to end the game. MS2 MS3 and MS6 would make good choices. other games that could work is Helo (which was probly part made by hollywood anyways) and Onimusha

Dragon Quest would never be made by Hollywood, so the Japanese should make their own Dragon Quest movie. Takashi Miike can direct it.

I'm glad to see MOTHER 2 up there- though I think MOTHER or MOTHER 3 would make better candidates. A nice, fun film for Earth Bound sounds nice- but I would honestly prefer to see the tale of a boy who's family has been ripped apart, him then fighting the warped army which had done so.

I'd want them as an anime more than a movie, though.

A tetris movie could be the best movie ever, if it were simply a complexly symbolic movie where the characters, people, involved represented Tetronimos (maybe even call them by the piece names, like one of them has a hard to pronounce name so everyone just calls him "T"). The whole movie could be hecktic and done to fast paced Tetris music.

A Dragon Quest movie could actually be pretty good, if they take sort of a "Lord of the Rings with humor" angle.

Grand Theft Auto? meh...there's no point of making this to a film since its plot and themes are already based from movies..it'll be just redundant, a movie that is based from a game that has elements based from another movies....

How the hell do you make that into a movie? Some high tech futuristic movie where human experiments are done and the human race evolves to a smarter higher being. Maybe include some weird war over human rights and ethics.. Right. That might work.

There is seriously no point in making a movie out of a game... You take an interactive multimedia with a lot of fun elements other than the story and the graphics(and voice acting in never games :p), create some dull shit that just doesn't give of the feeling the game did and expect the fans to be satisfied. Also, you seriously don't want movies of games because they will be taking liberties with the characters to make it more fun/awesome(in their minds) especially old games which have just a vague story/concept behind it. And their biggest failure is selecting game/anime titles according to success and handing it to some dumbass who doesn't even understand it or not a true fan of the series. They'll tell you "it's cool."... I don't think a true fan could possibly think that. It just taints the name of it so they should just go write their own "cool" shit and make a movie out of that.

I think it the only "Good" hollywood game film adaptation would be Metal Gear, Devil May Cry, or Grand Theft Auto, since they already feel so westerny XD

If they do make movies of em, I just hope they arnt as bad as DMC2 or MGS2 :P
