I wasn't kidding there. I admit I never played any of the games but just look at the pictures on Wiki:

and then tell me this isn't some kind of tetris or a strange spaceship shooter.
It isn't some kind of tetris...nor is it a strange spaceship shooter...it's a magical Shinto shooter. Youtube would have been a much better choice to understand the game better and faster.

It's more like the "space ship shooter" you mention, but if you replace the spaceship with flying girls, and the missiles and lasers with over 9000 colourful shots of all manner and bigger lasers. I suppose the screen shots of the game are rather hard to interpret, but those masses of colour you see... you've got to dodge that stuff. One hit kill. It's crazy I tell you.
