A series of yaoi-styled stamps are set to go on sale in China soon, and are currently enjoying much popularity amongst Chinese fujoshi.
An envelope is also due:
The illustrations are apparently by a notable Chinese artist, and certainly look rather tasteful.
They are said to have been very favourably received on various forums, and have received full official permission, being set to go on sale in April. There’s no word on international availability, not that international buyers would have much (practical) use for them.
However, it does seem unlikely many of these will ever be used, as they look a little too collectible for that.
Japan has of course had plenty of anime-themed stamps by now, but nothing quite like this – these seem in effect to be doujin stamps (though they are fully authorized and usable)…

How are these "yaoi" stamps? Almost all of them only have one guy on them, and there certainly isn't anything romantic about them.
It's one thing to see a picture of two guys standing together and say "LOOK THEY'RE TOTALLY GAY FOR EACH OTHER." It's another to see a picture of ONE guy and say the same thing.
The art style is characteristically called "yaoi" or "BL". It doesn't matter what they are actually doing...
The art isn't called Yaoi. Yaoi is a genre of boys loving boys. THIS is just a drawing style. Trust me, I know my BL from the inside and out.
Then you have used a very poor source, because if he/she did more research on it, it wouldn't be such an embarrassing mistake to make.
The source calls it BL which is good enough for me.
A lot of it is Yaoi by association. Certain characters are well known as being fodder for the Yaoi fanfic writers. Kind of like how a Xena picture ended up as a lesbian thing for a while.
But yeah, most people outside Japan/otaku circles probably won't get it.
Why can't we have something like this in the U.S of A?
Are these from some sort of famous Yaoi series? They just look like bishounen stamps to me.
Imagine if your girlfriend had a bunch of Yaoi stamps, and you absolutely positively HAD to mail an important letter (like a payment,or document, ect..)and the mail truck was ON IT'S WAY over to your mailbox....
And all you had was teh gayest, fruitiest Yaoi stamp EVAARRR?
Its pretty, I'd want it.
Ah, very nice! I'd buy them, then not use them, kind of defeating the purpose....
Do want.
I love the envelope.... ^_^
God, where did all these "first" posters come from. It's like they suddenly multiplied and are taking over sankaku.
Anyway, I'm not a fan of yaoi but the stamps look nice.
Want those stamps~ XD
And gahd delete those fucking lame "first" or "second" comments, serious eye sore
I was expecting to see Heise's art. (heise.deviantart)
I mean: Upon seeing the 'China' tag, I was expecting Heise's art.
*seconds* .. I feel good for being wrong
Yes, saw this the other day. Very nice, but who would want to send away their precious yaoi treasures?
seems like you got what you wanted °L°
Guess one would put these *on* a little brown envelope...
(But seriously, these do look rather nice.)
