Valkyria Chronicles Game vs Anime

Can't really agree with idea of increases moe-ness, the game characters seem to have much more appealing proportions-and hair effects >:D, seeing Isara is bitter-sweet T.T wish she was a playable bonus char or something, she sure is a better shot than welkin hehe

I also noticed a rather flawed drawing of alicia's rifle in the anime...that is, you can't really hold them with the way they're drawn >.< hopefully it'll all look more consistent

Have heard that many enjoyed the game. Since I don't own a PS3 (yet) I haven't tried out the game, but it's seems good. Will check out anime in either case.

I like the anime design too...I'm enjoying the game game aswell...can't wait to see it.

I heart Alicia, and it seems Selvaria's boobs multiplied in size, whatever valkyria chronicles rule

valkyria chronicles is a pro game. the anime designs look alright, but I like selvaria and alicia better in the game. isara definitely got a moe upgrade however.

The character design in the game looks far more better, imo. The anime version just seems too stereotyped.

If they don't include Dallas in this anime I will be severely disappointed.

Who care what they look like. This anime blows big donkey dongs. I'd rather watch Ayakashi stuck in an endless loop then watch this garbage. The writers cut Welkin's balls off and gave them to Faldio...

I prefered the game the characters seemed fluid and more open whereas in the anime Welkin fell into the typical I'm a dope with some honest virtues to teach FRIENDSHIP SPEECHES YAY.
And Alicia pretty much became the typical bitchy character in the anime :(

The game is much better than the anime. Not only do they have more time to tell the story, but the personality of the baker chick is a lot more interesting in the game.

They look pretty good, but Isara looks kind of... Off. Probably the eyes.

Man...I guess I don't really mind what they did with Alicia. It's certainly dramatic, but not in a bad way. Isara, on the other hand, I don't like what they did with her at all.

Welkin seems pretty close, and Faldio's hyper-bish transformation is too funny to hate. Finally, no real complaints about Selvaria. Although for some reason in her anime picture I can just picture her having a huge bow in her hair. Maybe it's the way she's standing.

What studio is doing the anime? The coloring style is very reminiscent of FMA.

The game looked so much better than any of the designs for the anime so far. Glad to see an anime of it, but not so pleased they didnt even try to mimic the style.

I prefer the game version of Selvaria and i need to see more of the animated Alicia.

Compared to the distinctive art style of the game the anime version looks extremely generic. I hope the anime will look fine on its own, but i cant help not liking it when its compared side by side with the game.

This is one series im very much looking foward to, hope my crew wants to sub it.

Well, the game is great and the graphic engine they used will probably be too hard to make an anime out off, it might just end up being too similar. At any rate, I am looking forward to the story content.

Im not liking the eye modifications. The original character art was great, why did they change it? Are smaller eyes harder to draw or something? What am I saying, this stuff is computer animated, they could just trace it!

Isara appears to have gained about 20% more moe rating.

I personally think the anime version looks better, i mean, the game was trying some weird sketchy look (which looks alright), but i prefer the normal anime look.

The design from the game looks better in every way.

The game was fantastic and it's art stood out.

While I understand that the anime is trying to make it more anime-ish, (as noted by the increased moe) ultimately, fans of the game want more of the same. So I would have to say that I would rather have watched a series rendered gamestyle. (At higher resolution with more detail and fluid/realistic character movements.)

Having said that, I'll still watch the anime and want more. I'm a sucker for such things.
