
Kadokawa’s grotesque marketing of its Haruhi-chan anime (to say nothing of the rerun of the original) seems to have resulted in such a negative backlash that their marketing department has launched itself into urgent damage control, replacing the “it wasn’t ready” nice boat announcement with a typically grovelling Japanese apology:

Speculation concerning Billy Herrington’s arrival in Japan to attend today’s WonHobi 9 figure event proved to be correct – the bisexual former gay porn star will be receiving his own Figma action figure, complete with dumbbells, a shower stall, and sweat towel.
Aniki’s (Big Brother in Japanese, as he is usually known) claim to fame in Japan is, of course, the meme in which clips of his porn antics are inserted into other, unrelated Nico videos for comedic effect. Presumably the accessories included with the Figma are there so buyers can recreate memorable scenes from his most famous piece, GachiMuchi Wrestling.

A gallery of shimapan sporting idols; as you may know, shimapan, an abbreviation of shima-pantsu (striped panties), are one of the new wave moe fashions to sweep the otaku landscape.
The archetypal example is light green horizontally striped pantsu, visible in a number of shots here, but generally the term also covers even vertically striped pantsu, and even diagonal stripes for the unorthodox. These however enjoy lesser status, or in some cases are shunned entirely.
