No, I prefer having these articles. It serves as a good reminder of the fact that everything isn't quite peachy and perfect in Asia, as anime would paint the picture. After all, this site is about the media and geared toward Otaku, occassionally we have to snap out of our too-too perfect anime world scenarios. Articles like this do a great job of waking us up to the sad world we live in, but it is the world we live in and therefore we have to take notice of what goes on in it.

i wasn't having a dig at you artifact, but rather the fact that what people would like to do to this man is just as criminal or even more disfiguring than what he did to his wife. more over, the people who visit this site who take his actions as a personal affront to what it is to be chinese. however, if that is how they choose to see it, then so be it.

not every australian likes vegemite, such as myself, but that does not make me any less australian, or even ashamed to be australian. far removed from the fact i know, but if one thinks about it, it kinda applies here. the actions of one in a group can taint the over all outside opinion of that group, but cannot sway the actions or thoughts and feelings of all in that group.

moreover, i respect the fact you did state where the story happened. it shows that a media site like this covers a broad spectrum of the news regardless of origin, and not some glossy corner of the world where everything is all peachy, if such a place exists.

i've had a patient once that died because he slipped on the mud, and fell right on top of a iron bar. Went in his anus, all the way to the Inferior Vena Cava. He gets 30 bags of blood during the emergency operation (that's 30x350cc= about 10 liters of blood, about twice the amount of blood in average adult male), and still died. And fyi, he didn't lose consciousness from the pain. Not exactly the way to go..

Oh and if you do a little bit of research, you'll find a girl named Marsinah in indonesia.. She tried to fight for the labor's rights..
what did she get for her efforts?
well, amongst others,:
1. The same iron bar treatment as in this case and,
2. They ran over her vagina (and pelvis) with a car. not all part of her body so she died quickly, but just that part.
She was later found dead on a freeway, apparently trying to escape but finding no help.
