Champion cosplay kickboxer Yuichiro “Jienotsu” Nagashima has, as predicted, crushed his wretched opponent, though he did not go on to final victory; of more note is that he dominated the tournament with his Macross Frontier Ranka Lee cosplay, complete with an extravagant opening show.
As expected of a man who treats kickboxing as a part-time way of financing his cosplay career…
The closing ceremony saw him receive some prize money (¥500,000) to squander on more Vita figures. The ¥5,000,000 grand prize went to the same sweaty man who won it last time.
In the lead up to the match, Yuichiro was also keenly cosplaying Index, of To Aru Majutsu no Index…

Sadly he didn't win because he got injured (cut) and the semi-final he was in had to be stopped after the cut opened again during the fight according to a news site.
Went down like this:
Yuya Yamamoto vs Yuichiro Nagashima (semi-final, stopped after his wound opened again and Yuya Yamamoto got declared as the winner)
Taishin Kohiruimaki wins against Yuya Yamamoto and sacks the grand prize
Does anyone know what his total record stands at now? None of the usual places seems to update his profile, and I don't really know how to navigate the Japanese official K-1 site...
His best cosplay so far to be honest.

I feel bad for the guys that lose to him.
Hmm, his entrance was awesome, though it does look like he spent for more time training than rehearsing (and rightly so), though he can be rather sloppy in his fights. I dont watch kickboxing that much but he certainly did seem to have a lot of holes. Still he's a hard and harsh fighter. Definitely worthy of being the champ.
Ever heard of something called 'fighting spirit' or 'spiritual power'? He's clearly morally superior, that's why he can still beat the shit out of opponents who are technically superior. After all, that's what almost every shonen anime tries to teaches us, right?

You guys are forgetting that Muhammad Ali mentally destroyed his opponents before they stepped into the ring. His mouth was as much of a weapon as his fist. If Yuichiro is able to get into the minds of his opponents before the fight starts, then victory is his to claim...

Vito Joseph LoGrasso, a former Professional Wrestler actually used that gimmick for a while. Seem to recall that he's switched to MMA and won his first fight on points a few months ago.
The only 'male' character he ever cosplayed as is Abe and even that is twisted.
