Oh, I remember these!
"The Japanese Tradition" on origami is just as funny!
I'm totally going to order the Toyota Supra sushi next time I go out.
Hmmmm~, sounds metalicious :3
Ramenz are a funny bunch, but this is very very old.
4:30
Tabemasu. Tabemasu. Tabemasu. Tabemasu.
I'm pretty sure that's from Pimsleur or something like that!
Can't stop laughing.
Wow, I've learned a lot. LMAO
1. I must remind myself to stay away from Toros next time, I might be eating spaghetti and not know it. xD
2. And I must try to dispel the thought of people using those sushi getas as shoes whenever I eat sushi.
3. Though seriously, one shouldn't soak the rice with soy sauce, or the sushi would just disintegrate. ^^
4. Surprised still no one managed to analyse what gari's made of. xD
5. I must never, ever cross a Taisho, lest he turns out to have a secret identity as a yakuza boss.
6. A sushi-ya is the best place to look for endangered species cuisine.
7. I didn't know you could get one of those mysterious refund thingys, I must try it out.
8. Though I think I'll pass on the plate of salt outside the shop, my soy sauce's salty enough. ^^
Rofl
Hmm got a question since we are on the subject. Does anyone actually like Uni? *shudders*
Uni is delicious!
Wow...... too much information to process. I have to sadly say I liked eating sushi over here more than in Japan. I really don't get all the traditions that you have to do at the sushi-ya, and almost seeing what type of fish they used almost make me puke... =(
"Maa maa maa maa" XDD
Mah mah mah mah
Oh toh toh toh
Mah mah mah mah

What the hell at wiping the blade after he wept of his sweat... ugh...
Protected species are offered - no one cares we all like to eat them. How the hell do they get their hands on them anyway?
aww man i cnt stop laughing to this......funny every time i watch it
Protected Species lmao
Wow. I remember seeing this RAHMENS (the duo that did this video) spoof back in 2006 right before my trip to Japan. lol. very informative. What was funny was how some people treated this video as fact.
Panda bear and squirrel sushi?!?!? Ahaha I wonder how they acquire panda meat...
Otoototototo
Learned something today!
I posted some of The Japanese Tradition series in my blog, sometime ago...
Quite amusing!
Anyways, thanks for reminding me of those... my plan was to post all the videos, but I completely forgot about them after the second post... :P

Oops, sorry, it seems my videos were rendered useless due to copyright claims.
I'll eat Tako Luka, if you know what I mean.
yeah I want to rub soy sauce all over Tako Luka "until it is noticeably heavier" before I eat her though.
And if it's not salty enough... ^^
I see what you did there.
LOL!~
"This is "gary"
Nobody know what it's made from"
XDDD
that was totaly hillarous
and now i know how to eat sushi properly, yay!
I died laughing.
This is quite old, yet I only discovered it yesterday over at Danny Choo, and now, Artefact is posting it here. Is Artefact watching my movements, I wonder?
I didn't post this. We are constantly monitoring 2ch and Nico for signs of sentience, this may explain matters.
awww.... that tako luka picture is so cute XD
I second that.
Please dip it in -sauce- until it is noticeably heavier.
Video's older than dirt, but funny nonetheless.
And agreed, awesome picture choice.
Well that picture explains where that fish smell is coming from...
Actually, if you smell fish when entering a sushi bar they are using fresh (ie non sterile) fish for their sushi (ie bad).
To kill parasites and germs, the sushi-fish must be frozen for three days (or deep DEEP frozen for 8 hours), which also removes the fish smell.
[citation needed]
I've made sushi several times without freezing the fish before that - and I'm a big eater. Still never got any indigestion from it.
I know all sushi in the US MUST be flash frozen for the reason outlined by Norr. So, whether on the wharf in SF or in the middle of Colorado, it's been frozen at some point.
Did you check for intestinal parasites?
Most of the fish used for sushi is flash frozen on the boat, there's no way they can ply waters more than a few days away otherwise.
Saw it before going to a trip in Japan on 2007...
The sushi one is really great, but the dating series is somehow more memorable, since it's 4 times longer, lol.
its the same guys who do the mac vs pc ads. they're a comedy group called the Rahmens
http://japansugoi.com/wordpress/japan-mac-vs-pc-ads/
You could make a series and post the "proper way to eat ramen" sequence from the beginning of the movie Tampopo too.
i should consider asking for the specials next time. it's not every day you can eat panda for dinner!
Rather old, but hilarious anyway.
er... i might think twice before having sushi in japan... =x
mmmm tako luca =D~
ahhhhh some funny stuff!!
mamamamamama otoh otoh otoh otoh otoh otoh.... muahahahahhaha
