Chaos Head Figure Fail

The special figures accompanying the DVD releases of Shibuya carnage anime Chaos Head may not be too recognisable as the characters they are supposed to represent, but they are least faithful to the production values the show itself enjoyed.
There is some painful copy accompanying the awakened (first) version:

For shame, Dengeki.

The amusing thing is, the Chinese bootlegs will end up looking better than the originals for once!

How fitting. Horrible figures that come with DVDs of a horrible adaptation.
Seriously, this show sucked. Not just art quality either, by episode 7 or so they completely ruined every aspect of the Visual Novel and replaced it all with pure shit. Which is a huge shame as the Visual Novel is one of my favorite ever.
I'd like to follow this up with something along the lines of "The stuff for the Visual Novel at least still looks good" but has anyone seen the wallpapers released on the website for Noah recently? Ayase looks like a bodybuilder and Rimi has a face of lulz-worthy quality.

Why the hell is everybody getting so critical and mean? Complain, complain, complain. I for one enjoyed the show for what it was and it caused me no pain whatsoever.
The negativity is sickening.
Figures look good and I might just have to get myself a DVD just for the figures.
The game was like 5 quintillion times better than the show was.
The show is like a deliberate insult to the concentrated awesomeness that was the game. Hence the negativity.
Terrible adaptation is terrible. Terrible figure quality is similarly terrible.
For someone who didn't play the game, I view the show as a stand alone series and thus, do not compare it to something else that may be more awesome.
A shiny coin is beautiful. However, when comparing a shiny coin to a diamond, the shiny coin looks like crap.

I highly advise you visit your optometrist at the most recent date you can possibly schedule, it could save your life. Or just look at more figures to discover how mediocre these are.
I didn't mind the show but then again I've never played the game.
But those figures ARE horrible there's no denying that.
Well, I /was/ wanting a Seira-tan figurine, but I suppose I'll just have to wait for Alter or Kotobukiya to do one.
Artefact, who is the designer of these? They're really not good.
The sculptor/designer of these sort of freebie figures generally don't get advertised, so it would pretty difficult to find out.
The Rimi one is slightly good, but otherwise look what they did to poor Seira-tan!
If you compare these figurines to what else is in offer, they do pale in comparison. Remember you are paying for them, you have every right to be critical.

Looking at the Haruhi figurine I got with the Japanese volume 4, it's just as terrible, if not worse.
Such a missed opportunity. I want my Rimi done well!
