This rather interesting compilation video shows various seiyuu, especially tsundere queen Rie Kugimiya, recording their roles, often showing them together with the actual anime. The results are rather interesting, particularly when dealing with such high level seiyuu…
It seems they all display similar levels of animation during their performances?

uuuh nice language there guys... the only thing I understood was IMHO Horie Yui
Кто все эти люди
Putos gran malparidos de mierda

А мне Aya Hirano и Mitsuishi Kotono нравятся.

You fucking retard. The internet is no country's soil. Don't like people writing in Russian? Bite the bullet and take it like a man or fuck off.
lol @ the death note one.
MAMORU MIYANO IS NOW MY FAVORITE SEYUU EVER
Interesting how it looks. But they sure spent a lot of time with Sen to Chihiro recordings and I thought I heard Miyazaki doesn't typically cast professional seiyuu.
wow Light's evil laugh is awesome
Yeah, same here mate, same here.
Wow, these seiyuu job looks really complicated compared to normal voice actors/actresses in a normal cartoon. But still, can't believe some of them get paid very little for the amount of effort they put into voicing some of those characters....
"...these seiyuu job looks really complicated compared to normal voice actors/actresses..."
-Actually, I'd say it's about the same... or maybe I should say, it's exactly the same as Western voice acting. They both involve exactly the same processes from start to finish. The differences in "quality" often lie with the selection of talent or more likely, the production budget of the feature, just as with any other commercial enterprise (you get what you pay for).
There have been many incredibly talented Western film & anime voice actors over the years. From older names like Mel Blanc, Jim Hensen, Casey Kasem, & Frank Welker to the newer talent of Billy West, Phil LaMarr, Dan Castellaneta, Nancy Cartwright, Hank Azaria, & Seth McFarlan.
Western voice actors don't often garner much recognition outside the industry despite their incredible talent simply because animated features aren't as iconic in the US as they are in Japan and are far overshadowed by live action film & television.
Of course there are a few notable exceptions, like Seth McFarlan, who have gained notoriety due to their voice acting roles, but more often than not, the talent behind even some of the more popular Western animated series tend to remain relatively unknown.
Personally I blame the overwhelming lack of serious Western anime Otkau for the apparent disparity in notoriety between Japanese and Western voice actors. Apparently the Western freaks & geeks are too busy giving each other Vulcan hand-jobs at Star Trek conventions instead.
tl;dr Western voice actors = Japanese voice actors in talent, not notoriety.
~
You are sprouting bullshit.
*nods*
That was pretty damn awesome
very
I agree...
lol at the free KFC.
Always wondered if they actualy worked in groups, or if they recorded each vocal track on their lonesom, like they do sometimes with music.
Here's a Elfen Lied video with Mamiko Noto

Sickest job in the world ^_^ it looks like they have a crap load of fun everyday just coming to work lol.
Except, of course, they get paid less than your neighborhood Walmart robot...
they should have hired the seiyuu of Light for the live-action! Would have been perfect
Another Nico video ? Fuck you, man.

Mamoru Miyano rocks! His acting range is really quite diverse and interesting. =D

It seems he can transmogrify between Asian and Caucasian.

Awesome stuff, specially the Chihiro piece...
Must be kinda stressful too though, recording voices with a bunch of people behind you.
Or was that some kind of audition?
Looking for youtube version to post in my blog now.. xD
Kugimiya Rie's talent is over 9000.
Talented seiyuu is talented.
When Miyazaki explains Engacho to that loli, flying comments go all 'Sexual Harassment'!wwwwwwwwww

After seeing this, now I really want to see how hentai seiyuu look like when they're recording.
+1 free internet for you dude.....
Hey Artefact or Quen... Please search them for the sake of your loyal servants (readers)... I beg you....
Hell yes.
Video saved for greatness.
This is the best non-boob/ass/loli/panty/cameltoe/bikini subject I've seen on this site. Very engrossing. I did see however the demise of the Japanese culture in this video...KFC!!! Twenty more years of eating foods like that will definitely make the Japanese look like fat-ass Americans!
That will be a sad day indeed...
____)~~ ~;( . Y . )
_))
KFC has been in Japan for decades now, but your point still stands.
Because there is no possible recourse but being fat as hell if you eat KFC every so often.
Hey did I spot a SE Gemini large diaphragm tube microphone? (6:38 onwards) I've worked with those too, I never knew they were used for seiyuu recording.

lol that was awesome!
Ah, first half was great, the part with the miyazaki movies wasn't as interesting :/
That was awesome Light's voice actor and Hitsugaya/Edward's voice actor are epic
This job must be so hard and time consuming, not to mention embarrassing at times
Man I wish I was Japanese
I realized something.
I want to see the recording for a Hentai Anime. God, that would be something... Seriously, I wonder how those seiyuus emote themselves to such an extent.
Bad Actar, bad!
I rofl really badly there....
But c'mon, don't tell me there isn't one video of it on Nico?
Is it just me, or are hentai seiyuus slightly more convincing than pornostars?
Oh my god. I love you Mamoru-kun. <3
I was hoping there'll be my Jun Fukuyama on this video. But then.. no. I skipped the last 6 minutes.
aya hirano + konata + singing CHALAHEADCHALA = infinite% EPIC WIN!!!
IF ANYONE HAS THAT VID(OR IT EXISTS) LINKS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Wait for the Lucky Star concert DVD.
She might just sing it live.
Is it just me Or I can't remember that scene from 12k? Could just be that I watched it 3 years ago or that there's actually episodes 45 + O_O
