    Jeez, okay... so it's not enough to have this 2d idol of his plastered all over the site at every opportunity, with fanart and fan-renders and god-knows-what-else he's commissioned lurking behind private directories?

    There is admittedly a hazy line between enthusiastically enjoying a mascot and being god-damned obsessed, bordering worship...it is a MASCOT after all. But this purchase coupled with the vanity anime project crosses all the lines, goes past rational sense and creepytown, straight on into sicko freakville. If I wasn't thoroughly disturbed by DC's lifestyle before, I am now.

    Next comes the Mirai tattoo, the growing delusion that she actually exists, the hunt for a iRL Mirai cosplayer to stalk, then the eventual discovery of the basement full of dead hookers in orange schoolgirl outfits. Mark my words.

    ... ah, if only I had enough money to hire famous mangakas to draw my mascots for me... and then 'bring them to life' through various promotions and means...

    I really don't see why the hate has to come into play. If your going to be browsing a site such as this one, expect to see this type of stuff. The Anime/Otaku world is moving on. If you can't accept the changes such as collecting dolfie's and dressing them up, then bounce. And by bounce i mean take a leave and quit the otaku culture. The otaku culture does not have room for such criticism. Danny is no different from you. In fact he has probably accomplished more in life then you have.

    If your gonna result to bad mouthing him and most importantly his comrades such as me, Mimi or Coco, and calling us retarded and so forth, it's best not say a thing. We at DC.com don't bad mouth anyone outside our community so we expect the same amount respect be given to us.

    The way I understand the comment, it's ok to criticize and even badmouth as long as you don't do it behind the backs of those concerned (the DC.com community), which sounds fair enough to me. I don't see the appeal of dollfies either, but like hell I'm going to force my opinion on others. Besides, I think the original comment by Shadowstitch IS uncalled for, and entirely baseless to top it off. But at least he didn't post anonymous...

    I accept criticism and prejudice from NON Otaku, or those who believe they are normal people and find ALL Otaku's to be creepy, since they don't know what the real deal is.

    And actually, i would rather prefer i don't get thrown in something i have nothing to do with. Like the guy who wrote "whatever it takes to get all the readers/retards into his blog huh?" That's a cheap shot at me and everyone else who isn't involved.

    We at Dannychoo.com never EVER have thrown in little cheap shots and remarks bad mouthing other communities out there. If anything, Dannychoo.com is quite possibly the only site that doesn't contain this type of childish material. As for Sankaku Complex, i actually think i'll browse this place more rather than to bad mouth the registered members here. But it's very unfortunate how the immaturity can come into play.

    And a lot of you need to realize, Dannychoo.com is just a blog. If your gonna make fun and ridicule his material, you might as well do it with other peoples blogs that also have dolfie reviews.

    I was getting the vibe that the above paragraph(s) didn't hold this purchase in high esteem...but if you see it from a collector's standpoint (I believe he has other dollfies too, given to him as promotional product I believe)- who wouldn't want to see a character they envisioned in a figure?

    If it was an attack on his character I think his journey is quite admirable. He's very passionate about what he loves, he was able to make it into his occupation and start up a blog so that he could share with others of the same interests...

    Calling him beyond rational sense is also a bit uncalled for... I fail to see what your point is if you're disgusted at the passion he has for his collection. If he was a stamp collector and designer I doubt you'd call him a "[sic] vain, sicko freak". DC has a family, an occupation and is successful at what he does.

    He's not going to be stalking and killing hookers anytime soon. Chill. Don't be a hater.

    Have you no decorum? You're just jealous that he's successful in doing what he loves.

    Danny's not just passionate in anime, he has a family and I'm proud of him for being able to gather such a great otaku community.
