A gallery of high quality cosplay images of Clannad’s Tomoyo Sakagami, portrayed convincingly by cosplayer Ponko, is presented below.
As with several of our recent posts on superb cosplay featuring the likes of Geass’ Kallen and Macross F’s Sheryl, this is another find from a generous user on the Sankaku forums.

Tomoyo was more of someone who wouldn't smile that often. She's smart, athletic, a good fighter and also a good leader, but when it comes to trivial matters, she's pretty naive.
Though the costume is almost perfect, I could say that her expression doesn't suit Tomoyo's, herself.

Indeed, that's the only thing I don't like about this cosplay. She looks like she is pouting, quite unlike what I remember from her in the anime, maybe she wasn't quite like that in the VN? Very high quality cosplay in any case.
Whoever did the Photoshopping was fucking IN LOVE with the Burn tool, christ.
Compounded with copious amounts of Gaussian Blur/Soft Light, and I am frightened to think of how the original image looked, this is just overkill.

Lol, I can't believe people failed to realise they were coloured contacts
But those are not colored contacts. Her eyes were photoshopped in every photo. Her iris borders change from photo to photo, and real contacts don't look that bright in real life, since blue contacts don't work well on brown eyes and it would've taken very strong lighting.

the wigs is too messy.. Damn the wind! But the overall of the cosplay is great.

Anyway, that aside I do have to say that Ponko does look quite cute in some of those poses, but she ain't going to top Saya anytime soon...... IMO I think her cosplay looks great and all, even with the hair being all messed up like that. =D

Love this one. Really compares with the 2D version. Agreed that the brown hair can be seen, yet it's still the best Tomoyo cosplayer we had in a while!

Small things too, agreed. But yeah, pretty much all the nice looking cosplay photos from Japan have had a fair bit of work. Skin wonderfully smooth, a light blooming effect, clipping of highlights, etc. Always looks nice.
More expensive wigs tend to behave a bit more nicely, but they still get dry. You can spray in a little oil (Delva Spray Sheen is a popular option) but dealing with wind is still hard.

Shes probably using colored contacts and shes definately wearing a wig, but they did photoshop the skin to be smoother and lighter. Im not saying its a bad cosplay, in fact its very good but they did go a bit heavy on adding light

Wigs do not hold moisture well. Gets frizzy.

They're too photoshopped.. or it's a really shitty camera.
Too much light.. just look at the (top half of the) uniform in the pictures, can barely see the crooks in it.

I think the Internet has warped the minds of some of its followers. Since all guys are guys and all girls are guys on the Internet, it MUST hold true for the real world as well. There's no other explanation for it.

That's why I don't say it everywhere, this one is the first that strikes me as a trap, especially the second picture, Rather square face.
I don't particularly care though it's good cosplay (maybe even more so if it's a he ;)), find the light used or whatever silly filter applied a bigger problem.
In picture 2 you can't tell the sleeve from the rest of the background and in the unnumbered 'opening' picture the fingers are all blurred together into a stump.
Quality cosplay with a shitty photographer or overkill photoshopping.
I have to agree that the pictures are unexcusingly bright. My eyes hurt.
Other than that the cosplay is quite top notch and I definitely not agree that this is a trap.

Her wig is fraying badly. Girl needs some wig detangler, or at least have had the common sense to apply it before setting out. Also, she has the same blank :| expression in many of the photos, which makes her a cosplay a bore after seeing a few.
