School Rumble Creator’s Natsu No Arashi! to Air in April

The Natsu no Arashi! official website has recently updated with full staff and cast information, listing the production studio as Shaft (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei), and Ryouko Shiraishi (Kemeko Deluxe‘s sword-wielding Ryouko) as the female lead Arashi.
The Natsu no Arashi! manga is Jin Kobayashi’s second published manga serialization and his follow-up to School Rumble, which recently finished in 2008.
The story deals with thirteen-year old Yasaka encountering mysterious sixteen-year old Arashi, a girl with mysterious powers who is on the run from assailants who takes up residence with Yasaka. As a supernatural / love comedy story, it might be appealing to those who would enjoy a different sort of story from Kobayashi than the more gag-centric School Rumble.
Other seiyuu involved include Yuuko Sanpei (Xam’d's Nakiami) as Yasaka and Chiaki Omigawa (Soul Eater‘s Maka) as the cross-dressing girl Kamigamo. The series is due to start in April on TV Tokyo.

Well technically School Rumble didn't actually end. You can see in the last chapter of the manga. There is going to be another school rumble.

This is great new start from School Rumble after it's fail to give a proper ending for the other characters. Seems Jin Kobayashi has become more serious and plot oriented rather than giving us random gags.
SRZ has mixed chapters with gags and chapters connected to the old SR manga. Chapters 4,5 and 6 are those chapters that are worth reading.
I need to find a translated version of 4-6 because 1-3 are highly unsatisfactory.

At first I lol'd, but then I ;___;-ed. School Rumble definitely deserves a much, much better ending than that...
I'm wondering what happend to School Rumble Z, the supposed sequel...
School Rumble Z contains a different storyline than the original SR even though the characters' the same but before i can watch Natsu no Arashi,i have to check the manga first.
Is that a Conan reference I see? ^^;

well, school rumble Z is still ongoing. Despite the fact it is listed as a spin-off, the story is still a continuation of the original.
Usually anime that end with an original ending that's different from the manga is a bad thing, but for School Rumble, if anymore anime are to be produced, I honestly and strongly hope it will end differently (and better than) from the way the manga did.

I didn't even manage to watch san-gakki because they released only the two final bloody episodes.
Curse them!!! They ruined the best anime comedy. I demand more Tenma-chan (Ami Koshimizu <3).
On topic: I am really sad that they didn't produce another gag-comedy like School Rumble :P
I was disappointed with the end of school rumble, but this looks pretty good. I'll check it out at least.
