This lovely new figure from Good Smile is the full sized and scaled version of their previous limited edition Figma Saber Lily that came bundled with the PS2 game Fate/Unlimited Codes.

Fans of Saber should be elated, as this seems to be an unparalleled figure of her likeness, perhaps only challenged by the also unreleased Saber figure from Gift later this month.

The figure, セイバー・リリィ ~全て遠き理想郷(アヴァロン)~, is given the official translated name of Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~ and comes from Good Smile Company.

Saber is a 1/7 PVC figure and sculpted by 河原隆幸 / Takayuki Kawahara, a sculptor who is not new to the trade and has done some Fate/Stay Night trading figures in the past, but this Saber is undoubtedly the premier piece of his career thus far.

Firstly, the set of officially released publicity photos give us a good look at the figure…

The Good Smile Saber Lily will be available in June for upwards of ¥8,800, and pre-orders have just opened at sites such as Play-Asia.

The figure looks great in the official photos, but the photos of a sample unit reviewed by Moeyo give a better idea of what she would actually look like in person:

The sculpting of her hair looks top notch, and her face seems well realized.

Her faux-metallic armored breastplate looks good from this angle…

good_smile_saber_lily_figure_10.jpg

…but it might look even better from this angle.

good_smile_saber_lily_figure_11.jpg

The detailing work on her armor and Excalibur looks superb.

Her battle dress billows out in an appealing fashion, plus it allows a view of her silky white garters she wears underneath, viewable in the official photos and in the full set of photos from Moeyo’s review.

That really is an absolutely stunning figure. Love the fluidity of the pose and the great expression on her face.

Wow. I'm not a big Saber fan, but this figure looks so good that I almost want to buy it anyway. Everything about it is spot-on...

Man this one is as epic as the one from GIFT coming out in Feb, I've got a pre-order on the GIFT one but if it doesn't come through I'll likely pre-order this on in its place.

The Gift one comes out this month, doesn't it?

We would've covered the Gift Saber by now, but it seems we'll have to wait it is released and detailed review photos go up as most existing photos of her have been lacking...

I just hate the look of the face so much that I can't bear to even look at it(I know the face is interchangable but still). It also looks a bit too fancy, I prefer the simpler but more elegant design of this one.

    Second breastplate shot is superior!

And like the rest I have to agree that they did a good job on the face, very nicely done.

"The detailing work on her armor and Excalibur looks superb."

Saber Lily actually wields Caliburn and Avalon, which is supposed to be the scabbard for Excalibur. Just a comment from a nit-picky Saber fan. =p

Regardless, this figure looks gorgeous! I may have to get it to accompany my Lily figma that I got with the PS2 game. =3

Does anyone know of an equally well done, or at least, very well done Rin figure? Would be nice to have one of each at least.

Awesome figure. Hair, armpits, chest look great, lol. The face and expression is flawless too.

Looks like I have to put a hold on the purchase of the new HDD I needed. Excellent figures of Saber are always on top of my priority list.

BTW, the sword shown here is the Caliburn.

The scabbard belongs to Excalibur though.

    This is the Excalibur.
