The Good Smile website has just updated with photos of the upcoming Figma Haruhi Suzumiya and Mikuru Asahina Cheerleader figures that were displayed at Comiket 75.

These Figma (poseable action figures from Max Factory) should prove to be quite popular, as they’re two of the main girls from the show once again put into the very popular Figma figure line.

It has been nearly a year since the original Haruhi Figmas starting coming out early last year, and Max Factory has been releasing Figma versions of side characters such as Ryoko Asakura, so these are certainly something for fans to look forward to.

The lack of a Nagato Cheerleader might seem surprising, but as she never wore one in the anime, and logic would dictate that a Nagato Ver. would have been announced with the other two, there probably aren’t any plans to make one of her, unfortunately for the devoted fans of Nagato out there.

Mikuru’s figure does look adorable – I’ll be putting in my own pre-order shortly…

Haruhi’s figure doesn’t look as good to me as the Mikuru one, but she is capable of this fantastic pose…

Someone at the photography studio certainly knows what he’s doing.

The Figma Haruhi and Mikuru Cheerleader Ver. figures should both become available in March, for under ¥2,300.

They will be easily available internationally at many figure sites  – Hobby Search already is taking pre-orders for Haruhi and Mikuru.

More information and photos can be found at the Good Smile site for both Haruhi and Mikuru, and on the official Figma blog.

That's a problem with most posable figures.
Haruhi' pose is still awesome, though.

Haha Haruhi's secret signing pose looks hilarious, they pulled that off very well. They look very cute with the bats too but to be honest I just don't like dolljoints on my figurines.

love the new facial expressions and accessories. Note Haruhi's bat is damaged and Mikuru isn't.

The faces look great but those joints are really bad. I can appreciate how well you can pose them though.

Why do people always complain about doll joints? THEY'RE DOLLS. DOLLS HAVE JOINTS. HOW ELSE DO YOU WANT THEM?

People who hate them have either failed to grasp the proper definition of an action figure (yes, they have articulations. So?), or suffered traumatic childhood experience of having both their GI-Joe and Batman action figures shoved up their rectum simultaneously, in full force.

Ugh! I hate those joints. What's worse, people who find out you collect statuettes instantly ask if you play with dolls, or if they're like G.I. Joes. No, they're fucking not. They sit on the shelf and look pretty.

Why must these companies try to make fucking action figures out of them?

GODDAMN YOU, Max Factory!! Just when I thought I satified my hunger for Figmas and my wallet was pleading for mercy.

Good thing Chinese New Year's just passed...

Also, batting Haruhi looks positively murderous.

(Good, good, keep pointing out bad things on these figures...)
