Gundam 00 2nd Season Precure Plagiarism Doubts

Well this series has failed to amuse me. The new OP theme is good but it didn't fit Gundam image. A bit.. too POP? ;_;

LOL somehow I feel really stupid to actually jump from my seat seeing Plagiarism words. REading in detail and watching the op only to find ........(@_@)

just let them be. in japan, copying things that were seen in another series is considered a way of honoring the series that came before. it is a part of their culture. so what would be called plagiarism in other parts of the world is called respect in japan. but only in the anime studio sense.

Different order, and the Precure girls are moving, so it's not hard to catch a still image that resembles that of 00. Besides, except for Anew's, their poses are actually very different.

On what grounds do the OP of Gundam 00 s2 copied the OP of Precure? I started counting precure and they have 5 while 00 have only 4 (butterfly passing by a girl). And I noticed the 4 fem's of 00 have serious faces while precure have happy ones. For not being biased why are the people here being bothered of this similarities (not plagiarism) cause the concept of the 2 are different in most ways. If you consider this plagriarism then many other anime must be define also a copycat. Similarities cannot be avoided but for heaven's sake lets judge all them fairly. But if your still biased with this issue the hell are you reading this comment!!! :)

let us just wait if Sunrise is sued in this matter and find out the result. But for now the 2 anime are good in their own way.

Besides this concept isn't even original I wouldn't be surprised if there was no relation whatsoever!

And in the case there is, perhaps it's a tribute, perhaps someone's a pretty cure fan and came up with the idea to put it in the OP for a show that should have NOTHING to do with precure, or maybe someone on the staff worked for the precure anime. Who knows? I don't really care. It looks good. I like butterflies.

That's...RATHER hardly called plagarism. Tribute maybe, referenced most likely, but plagarism is rather too much to be referred as, considering the only similar is the color and the usage of butterflies (okay maybe Anew's pose).

I sorta see a resemblance but it's kind of different in a way. Plus, I can't imagine the director to be the type to watch magical girls shows.

Surely it would make sense to compare the butterflies in the Gundam 00 opening with the butterflies in Turn A Gundam?

Turn A Gundam uses an attack called Moonlight Butterfly, and the 2nd ED Diana transforms into a butterfly with the colours blue, red, yellow and purple.

Well I'm a bit rough on it myself, but a person who dies can be reincarnated as a butterfly, if you look at all those four characters, they've lost someone important to them:
Sumeragi - her crew and her 'love interest;
Feldt - Lockon Stratos
Louise - both her parents, and maybe her love for Sagi?
Tieria - Lockon Stratos

And honestly, I don't think there would be many people here who have watched Pretty Cure and defend it over Gundam 00, if anything, it's just people being biased towards Gundam.

I guess I should mention now that Toei and Bandai are partners and that if any part of the new opening was meant to be an homage to the Precure intro then they probably procured permission. Call me when there's any news of Toei ACTUALLY suing Bandai/Sunrise and let's just leave 2ch to it's own affairs.
