Before anyone notices, the omake (the black and white pages at the end) are a separate book and not filled with much else besides Ishikei talking, not we’re not sure if we’ll do that also. Perhaps later…

    It’s fine, Quen. ^^

Nice work. Now, if only Artefact would explain his hatred of the Tsugumi-gami….

I forgot to ask this in my other post: Where might one be able to procure Ishikei Doujinshi. I live in Canada so who knows if I’m even able to import things of this nature anyways. :|

The only way I’m able to get doujins like this or otherwise is to a) go to Japan and get them myself or b) ask somebody who’s there to get them for me and mail them to me.

that actually may be a problem….
if i remember right, Canadian law prohibits some types of doujinshi. I’m not sure if niseMIDI’s doujins qualify but i heard before that they check the mail and confiscate anything found as illegal so just be careful

As with my previous translations, anyone with the skills to make a hard translation is free to use my translation as a base for a scanlation.

I would do it myself, but I’m not familiar enough with photo-editing…

I must confess — I feel a twinge of guilt at seeing the disclaimer… in English… While reading it on the Channel:

Outright ban on duplicate and online-distribution of this book.
Don’t upload onto any webservers a part or all of this book.

Sure, it was bound to make it online sooner or later, but whoever blatantly defied the wishes of the artist and scanned this thing has some serious testicular fortitude…not unlike our hero Jin.

Every doujinshi carries such a disclaimer… If creators actually minded, none of the big image sharing sites would exist, as most are pledged to respect the wishes of creators in taking material down. Of course this leaves P2P unaffected either way…

Stupid question, but where did you get this? only copy I could find was one of those inflated 16MB REALLYHIGHRESOLUTION bmp fakes with only the cover in them on share.

.. or are those some sort of double compression method i’m unaware of?

Artefact acquired them through some occult method (which is why he made the post instead of me), so I’m not sure…

I’ve been rather busy lately, so I had to rely on him to find it.

I can’t speak for Artefact, but I found them on rapidshare earlier today, entirely by accident.

I’d do a hard scanlation from your translation notes if anyone wanted it, but there really isn’t a whole lot of “plot-intensive” dialogue there other than the requisite Oohs, Aah, and squirting noises. ;)

There’s quite a lot of talking going on, it’s just that Ishikei’s books tend to center around 4-6 page spreads of different characters and so requires less actual text than what’s average for doujinshi.

Since when was a storyline necessary in a hentai doujin?

It makes for a nice backdrop and some sort of tie-in, but when it gets down to it, does anyone *really* read these for their literary qualities? *rolls eyes* XD

I realise my comment comes with considerable delay, but quite a few ero-doujin (especially the works of STUDIO KIMIGABUCHI) include an excellent storyline, and I’ve been known to buy paper copies of doujins concerning series that are irrelevant to my interests as long as the doujin in question is well-drawn and has an interesting plot.

It’s just me, or the jpg compression is noticably low? Actually this “HQ” scan is not HQ at all due to bad jpeg compression. Who is the source? Maybe he/she (still) has the original and is able to rescan it…
Bad compression is a pain in ass. There was no need for this image size, when the compression sucks actually.

    05-01-2009 20:53 # Report

The compression is too high – I don’t know what the uploader was thinking. However, it looks fine if it’s resized down a bit, so I suppose it’s ok.

This doujin is nicer than you know. Noone’s mentioned it yet, but the special version available at C75 was A3 in size. The copies you can find in Toranoana now are all the plainer A4 size, though no doubt there’ll be A3 copies available from auctions soon enough (if not already).
