I hate this shit.. 3D anime girls.. wrr

The only one i liked was the Oblivion one…but thats just because i like mods that makes your character look more realistic and sexier…and by realistic i mean more anime-ish :p

why do you always make the last pic a shrinker?

Contrary to my usual opinions, I much preferred the ‘true’ textured girls to the cel shaded girls.

Some pretty amazing artwork, some startlingly realistic. I’d like to see how well they animate such images.

I personally think 2d is better but I liked some of these images.

I can’t believe no. 123 isn’t a real woman…in fact I say she’s been put in there to catch us out!!!

While watching this gallery I realised I wouldn’t suspect some of these pictures to be CG if I hadn’t been told of it… what a scary world it will be when one is unable to see if a picture is a photograph or CG. How can you see if a picture is a really good CG rendition or a shoopjob, anyway? Skin, hair and fabric reflections are good signs to look at, but in a shooped photo you can’t use the skin anymore.

As for skin, I think 007 has the most convincing. 107 got the fabric just right. 120 and 121 had the best hair imo.

124 is also very convinving, but the hair hints that it is CG. Same for 123, but that hair configuration is plausible with enough combing. Really, 123 and 118 though? Sure you haven’t thrown in a bunch of shooped photographs just to fool us? I’m having a really hard time to accept them as CGs. Maybe the trick is to make a model that isn’t a perfect beauty?
If you didn’t put in any real photographs then I suggest you make a CG vs photo gallery. ^^

I also wonder if these are all 3D renditions, cause some pictures I find hard to accept that they are not 2D CG.

that last picture is actually really well done, hats off to the artist.

I think it depends on how much it costs to make CG/hybrid animation and normal computer animation.Most of todays animation is done on computers anyway, but for some reason I think full 3D would be too expensive, especially creating and rendering a scene with a high amount of objects and physics.

Wow. A lot of these pictures date back years. Especially the stuff of incise soul and some of the deviantart stuff. Nice to see it all in one gallery though.

I’d like to know where those DOA pics came from (the nude ones that look like they’re actually from the game/Tecmo themself). Not the ones from Incise-Soul.

With proper shadowing and art quality, this would definitely confuse me with reality or 3d cg. I gotta say I’m quite surprised how well-made some are.

My favourite are the ILLUSION pics, a good example of well-execued 3D cel-shading. Most of the others look off somehow, though the Tifa was a very good effort.

Heh, most of them are meh, but some are really perfect, like those 3d by the end of the post, the 30desu one or the 48-th pic (big kudos for those two, because 2d-ish looking 3d is hard to do and it can’t get more sugoi than that).

The 3 espada from bleach are really well done. (For those that don’t watch it or haven’t seen the episodes of bleach with these characters in…they are the Two with the skeleton masks (one has a tattoo of the number 3 on her right breast) and the one right above)

The one with the school girl on her knees with a gun in her mouth is interesting. It kinda gives a weird twist to the whole “school girl on her knees” sort of thing. You forgot to add one more character that i personally find quite extravagant:
