The Vipper responsible for the notorious cosplay event reports centred on Tsukicon and Connichi has one more report to share with us, whether we like it or not; this time the event in question is the 2008 AniMaCo, which is cryptically described as “Die Anime und Manga Convention in Berlin”:
Less Naruto, as well as more passable cosplay, and perhaps even some good cosplay too, tend to place this above the Finnish event. Not surprising given the larger population on offer, perhaps.
I will refrain from other comparisons out of repect for the participants, but it must be remembered that even in Japan or elsewhere, the majority of such cosplay is lacking in comparison to the sort of thing generally regarded as win, height not withstanding.
