I think they're the right size, they only look like that because of her pose, kind of like in the Index bath picture in the previous article. And the way I see it, it doesn't matter whether she's used goods or not. Didn't she gain a new body from the wood carving? That way she has the experience and she's a virgin.=P

The rationale itself was actually apparently that the canines are beast teeth, therefore humans should not really have them.

I think she is patterned after the traditional fashions of some centuries ago - the style of eyebrows and hair seem similar to what one can see in earlier periods.
