From the advisory reports of Tochigi prefectural police:
“Around 16:30 an incident occurred in the city where a man walking on the street spoke to a girl primary schooler, saying “Good morning”, etc.
The man was in his thirties or forties, about 170cm, thin with short hair, and wore a black turtleneck, grey vest, cream trousers and carried a black bag.
When somebody you don’t know tries to speak to you, you should run away without talking to them, sound your crime prevention buzzer, and immediately report the incident to police, even if you are at home.”
The original report.
Is it any wonder people are reluctant to help schoolgirls when any attempt to interact with them, let alone help them, by a wicked male at least, is regarded as criminal conduct?

Yep, that’s definitely going too far.
Being considered a criminal for being polite.
in the life there are limits also in mathematics but human stupidity doesnt have
“A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof was to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.”

i believe japan acknowledges that every Japanese man is born a pedophile . thus why they go to such lengths to prevent any pedophilyng .
If you have a mouth then your a potential rapist.
If you’re in man in the 30’s then your a potential rapist.
Wait… why is he saying good morning well into the afternoon? Pretty sketchy!!
Good morning at 4:30 pm? Must be fresh from the basement dungeon.
Really, this is insane. Bad translation perhaps? I hope so.
That’s what the report says, I’ve triple checked it.
OMG you’re right! How could the guy mix up with day or night. 4:30 PM is way pass morning. He could be trying to pick her up. That guy’s definitely a pedo.
The police could have said “suspicious fellows” instead
“Hey bud. What are you doing here in jail? I went crazy & shot about 50 people.”
“I said Good Morning to a school girl”

Insane.
So, being polite and all to little school girls is a crime in Japan . . .
OMG does that mean its OKAY to take them to places and . . . . . .
this world is screwed
This is some very disturbing stuff . . . the man is definitely suspicious . . .
Saying good morning to people is a crime? I like to say it to random people sometimes myself when I’m in a good mood.
Huh?
I am at a loss for words.
……..
Either the man has something going on up his mind or are the community just paranoid.
so. . . . polite = criminal?
being a good = evil???
something wrong with people these days . . ( ;;=_=)a
Yay! It’s Opposite Day!
Ok, estas leyes preventivas ya llegaron demasiado lejos.
Si decirle “buenos días” ya es un crimen, entonces es mejor esperar a la noche y en la intimidad de la habitación decirle “buenas noches, hasta mañana” :3 xD
wait…Good Morning around 4.30pm O.o
Theres no big deal, I sometimes make this mistake too, saying good afternoon when its morning and good morning when its night….
Whats the big deal ? Or are we all so flawless that you never made a mistake before ?
I make this mistake too, I’m not sure it’s something the police should be called over.
I’ve never made a mistake in my life, anyone who does should get 25 years in the salt mines!
look carefully people. He didn’t just say Good Morning. He actually started a conversation with them. The report was merely poorly done by an incompetent constable. Take note of the keyword, “etc”.
yeah, you’re right, there is an “etc”.
but what is “etc” mean??
one less friendly neighbor off the streets that will teach u to be nice, u would have been better off just fondling her or slapping her across the face
IIRC the Japanese have very specific time-limitations on what greetings & salutations they use
I don’t know the specifics, but something like using ohayou past 10am or 11am is quite the gaffe
Quite. I was going to say that myself. It does sound a little fishy, but then, maybe he had just woken from a deep sleep after playing his fav game all night or watching a “Sailor Moonathon” (in keeping with men preying on schoolgirls) and he really wasn’t sure what time it was as he didn’t have a watch or something to that effect.
i would hardly call him on this alone, though. Etc might be that he was asking her the time of the day as he realised that the sun was higher in the sky than he first imagined, and then he remarked on what a nice looking time piece she was wearing herself.
ok, now i’m just talking shit cause i’m tired. whatever.
In Japanese, people often greet each other with o-hai-you. It means something to the effect of “it’s early” but you can say it to anyone who you’ve seen for the first time that day, no matter what time it is.
Maybe if he told her to go f*ck herself then they would’ve left him alone.
When I went on holiday to Switzerland I stayed in some random village at the foot of some random mountain. I liked spending the morning sitting on a bench watching local life go by. Every single child that went past me on their way to school smiled and said “bonjour!” to me.
One country’s sex crime is another country’s basic level of politeness.
Stuff like this makes me wish I was born a girl. Girls don’t become wanted criminal for talking to people, but guys can’t breath the air as a girl without being considered a molester.
@EvidentManiac..
Ohayo (good morning) can pretty much be said at all times of the day, it’s just like hello, and casual.
The laws and police in Japan are a joke.
