Virtual idol Hatsune Miku looks to be moonlighting as a hostess in a seedy Kabukicho hostess bar; the lady above, one of the establishment’s “cast” of paid companions, identifies herself only as “Hatsune Miku”.
As you can see from her profile, below, Ms Hatsune was born in Gifu and lists her hobby as “cleaning”, her qualifications as “piano”, and her dream for the future as “becoming a bride”, an ambition sadly at odds with her chosen career. She incorrectly states her favourite food as being curry rice.
The club she works for, “Gentleman’z Club”, is situated in the heart of Japan’s sex-industrial capital, Shinjuku’s Kabukicho – it’s not really clear, for obvious reasons, just what spectrum of services this particular venue offers, but usually such establishments can offer anything from relatively innocent paid conversation, to entertainment of a highly tactile nature.
