The people who are the most against it seem to be the people who use it the most. Evangelist/sex, drugs etc. I bet if you looked in the homes of the people opposing it the most- you'll find some magna. If it seems like 50% of the population has an attraction toward children, as the media wants you to think- then why is it deemed bad? It's just artwork - no matter what it depicts. People looking at art work (wanking or not) isn't something we need to worry about.

politicians are the same everywhere. they are just doing to get support from their base. this petition will die before it reaches the floor for two reasons: one it infringes freedom of speech, and two many industries would get hurt economically and wont allow it...

At last, some sign of sanity among the politicians.
There's still hope if someone out there is still willing to risk their necks to defend our freedom and rights.

Also, completely agree on “False charges, abuse of search rights, invasion of privacy and the excessive moves towards becoming a surveillance state are all rampant.”.
And unfortunately, this isn't for Japan only.

Good luck to the guys sticking their necks out their for free expression. Somebody has to do it and get it over with, if not, well....I'm not sure what would happen. When stupid laws get passed, it seems like forever until they are repealed. In fact, there are some that are still around, mosaics in porn for instance. I mean, come on. Why?
