I was more amused by the two extra figures below Shana. ^_^

You didn’t know what Shana was a loli Artefact? I view Shana as a high class example of a loli. Small body, deliciously flat chest, and yet no matter how much she ages, her body will never mature.

It’s a complete shame I ignored ordering this figure back when I had the money to do so, but I can just get it as a christmas present probably and it’ll still sit well with me. The only issue will be finding space for her amongst my other 7 Shana PVCs and 20+ gashapon.

Yeah, I’m surprised you never considered her a loli before either. I’ve viewed her as queen of the lolis for years now. =b

I own quite many Shana figures, but sadly this isn’t one of them.

I’ve always had trouble deciding whether to place Shana or Sakura Kinomoto as the queen of lolis. Shana is the ideal loli in my eyes, but Sakura basically made the lolicon industry what it is today.

I actually watched the whole anime, and afterwards she simply registered as tsundere… It seemed like considering Louise a loli to me after I suppose (she’d better not be one too). The figure leaves me in no doubt now, though.

Louise is indeed a loli too though. What exactly are the factors you’re using to determine whether or not a character would be defined as a loli? I just find it easier to look at them for the presence of neotonous traits, or traits that if they were to mature and look the same, they would still be defined as neotonous. It basically breaks down into them being short, and having flat/very small breasts.

I suppose for SnS though that reading the book makes it easier to tell as you get the description that she has the appearance of a 12 or 13 year old, only comes up to Yuji’s shoulders in height, and then several images throughout the book series to definately reveal that Shana is flat as a board.

Nah, I just view Louise as a patanko. She’s young, but not loli young.

She’s short, and has a flat chest. Loli.

I hope that young, but not loli young wasn’t a reference to her age since age has nothing to do with defining a loli.

Age very much does play a big part in defining lolis. Not always (forever-lolis like Shana, older-girls-that-look-nothing-like-their-age like Moetan), but for the most part. I can’t think of an example off the top of my head, but what about women who are short & flat but don’t look young at all? By your definition, they would count as lolis as well.

At any rate, I don’t consider Louise a loli. Doesn’t make her any less fappable, though.

I said they have to be neotonous though in order to be a loli. You aren’t going to have much of a neotonous appearance in real life when you start getting over the hill or older than that for instance. I know plenty of girls though who are 25 and still have what I define as a loli body type. It is all in the appearance for me.

For the most part though, I just tend to not let age be a factor when determining whether a character is a loli or not because it helps set the fact that you’re dealing with drawings which are an interpretation of what someone thinks a person might look like at that age, in comparison to an actual human being where their age makes a world of difference. Nothing annoys me more than when I see someone label themselves as a lolicon and then go on about how they love 8 year old girls and want to see drawings of 8 year old girls. I would label that person as a pedo instead of a lolicon. If you are into them because they are young, then you aren’t a lolicon. If you are into them because of their neotonous traits, then you’re fine in my books.

Indeed as bastille says, it’s far easier to just on the neotony of a character. Far too hard to do it other ways, as it doesn’t always apply.

Characters like Louise, Shana, and Nagi(Hayate no Gotoku) Are all considered loli, by the vast majority of people.

It pretty much boils down to a flat, moe character.

Yeah, I never liked the use of that sort of material for hair. It’s like they’re being lazy about painting the hair :/

It looks to be an otherwise excellent figure though….

Very nice DFC. “gets distracted by Yotsuba at last pic” Other than the skintone (is it me or is the camera inclined to matte finish?) and pantsu, I WANT. I’d get one for myself if not for the S&H they charge (p_q)
