DAMN! What a great anime! I have only seen this anime,but this far is the most story and not just kill or fight.ToraDora Deserves a second season, and Please! Let Ryūji, Yūsaku, Taiga, Minori, and Ami saty in the series! It will suck if there are new main characters. I will be waiting!

i really doubt theres ganna be a second season cuz they graduated in the end of the series :/ it was a very very very good anime though and i'd be happy if there would be a second season but i dont think it would be better than the first one~ :/

whatever happens, i'd still watch this series. i enjoy the ast pacing here. Definitely not boring. __this is the only anime that gets me fired up every week-- then wait for the next week, to watch another episode.. Oh yeah.

I see what you're saying about the terminology. I'm sort of with Quen -- it's not great but it's the least confusing. To me, I'd only use the term "season" if there's some sort of functional break in the show -- either a time gap, or a subtitle change, or a production team change. Otherwise, the usual term we see used would be a "two-cour show", even though I'm not too sure why the Internet settled on that terminology as opposed to something like "quarter-year"/"half-year" (or "1 quarter"/"2 quarter"). Anyway, the main point was that, in fact, you can use the DVD solicitations to predict whether seasons/cours/whatever will occur back to back or not. When the seasons are split with a time gap, they only solicit one season at a time. When the seasons are back-to-back, they may solicit both at once. Because DVD solicitations are also meant for retailers, publishers are very consistent in how they do it. As you start paying more attention to solicitations and sales figures, you'll see the patterns. In any case, it's not a big deal.

Yeah, the very fast pace up to now really suggested otherwise...
If they're going to do a second season, I'm positive they'll try to stray off the novel somewhere in the middle to add tons of anime-exclusive filler episodes, dragging on and on ad nauseum until the obvious and inevitable happy end.

Sigh, those sequels... Who knows, in 6 months I'll perhaps read about an S3? Ah well, I hope they won't ruin the fun while it lasts.

Perhaps just use the typical English translation example of "cour" and just enter a small explanation blurb at the end of articles mentioning the word until people stop asking about the word?

When I used the term "season" I was of course simply refering to "kuuru", which doesn't quite carry the same implication of separation that the English term does. No difference is implied between a 13 and 25 episode run, although as we say recently with Slayers it can unpredictable as to whether they occur back to back. I'm not sure there's a more appropriate term?

Rather than having a separate second season with a break, it's more likely that the show will simply have 25 episodes in its run (or two seasons one right after the other). The reason for 25 as opposed to Starchild's usual 26 is because TV Tokyo always takes a week off at New Years. If they were splitting the show into two separate seasons with a break, the DVD run wouldn't be 8 continuous discs, but perhaps be more like their recent D.C.II anime series with 5 discs per season so that the first disc of the second season could fall in June. Starchild's Shikabane Hime was already announced as two separate but contiguous seasons, and it too is getting a similar 8-disc run.

So in other words, I think the solicitations simply suggest that the show will have 25 episodes.
