This charming bloomer cosplay image of Kagami Hiiragi, of Lucky Star, who I could swear is cosplaying Kyou Fujibayashi of Clannad, has attracted some attention recently, and not just because of its moe qualities – it has recently been flattered by plagiarism, though of a very petty kind.
Displaying the usual terrifying omniscience, 2channers brought to light this pathetically traced entry into a Hiroshima technical college’s art contest:
Perhaps the scamp in question is gearing up for a career as a professional illustrator?
The artist whose works have been so plagiarised, Ixy, maintains a Pixiv profile, and you may be familiar with Kagamiku and Lucky Star tarot, by the same artist.

It’s a moot point, considering that number 36 is clearly a shoe-in for first place.
i lol’d
wait, ecchi-art contests in a technical school?
DO WANT.
I too lol’d in real life for a good 20+ seconds!
Yeah, your feed is up on my featured feeds section, though in alphabetical order. Can’t reply to your email since my email server seems ot have some problem connecting in school.
first I got angry, then I lol’d, now I’m back to being angry again.
I hate people who do this shit.
I don’t get it, Japan has some brilliant artists, all my faveourites are pretty much asian.
But no… Their classical and technical art colleges are shit.
I mean, wtf?
This is college level in Japan? What the hell… I drew/water colored like that when I was in the 2nd grade.
I mean, I’ve seen some bad drawings in my art classes but this is pretty lulzy
