    When ever I see Shota I always question myself: “whats the point?” - Let me explain.

    a. They’re boys yet they dress like girls, if you like that so much what difference would it make if the characters were actually normal girls or are futanari?

    b.Do you like Shota because you like Male2Male action? but refuse to acknowledge it so they invented the concept of Shota and camouflage them as girls so you wouldnt feel embarrassed despite knowing they were traps?

    just my opionion.
    N.B. the word camouflage originates from French and means a homosexual man pretending to be heterosexual in order to avoid arrest. Because of this meaning I felt it was necessary to use that word here. :)

    “Shota” simply means young boys, not crossdressing boys. Shotakon doesn’t necessarily involve crossdressing.

    As for “what’s the point” - since when are fetishes supposed to make sense? ;)

    I will say right here - I look at “vanilla” porn, and lesbian porn. and traps. When I found out I liked traps I obviously wondered if I *was* gay/bi, and tried looking at outright gay porn, it was still a horrible turnoff. I couldn’t hope to explain it, but that’s how it is. For most other trap fans I’ve talked with as well.

    btw, boku no pico was the one thing that pushed me over the edge into a trapfag. and pico x coco x chico was fucking hot. ^_^

    Well, it’s not like there are so many shotakon stuff out there… in fact, I don’t know of any outside of the Pico series (not that I looked). Also, shota may be a niche compared to loli, but it still seems to be quite popular lately… there are anthologies and stuff out there.

    I didn’t watch (or played that visual novel) “Happiness” either. But I read the h-doujins. I thought it was hot to have a crossdressing guy as part of the f###able harem.

    Please grow up and respect differences. Show some understanding of diversity and how it is very healthy for any population. Step out of your tunnel and see a broader world.

    You don’t have to like shota. You don’t have to like the people who like shota. But you do have to understand this: there is no rule stating that everyone else can only post opinions which match your own.

    Everyone knows that many HUGE HULKING men are gay/bisexual. Since he’s so incredibly sensitive and defensively hostile about male treatment in anime and has some interest in shota, he might have gender identity issues and is in the closet to a certain degree. This is actually quite common for many black American men, where’s there’s an entire subculture of hiding gay/bisexual activity on the “down low”.

    If he is gay/bisexual, that’s really OK. I just hope that if he is, that he’ll stop denying it for his own sake and health. Gays/bisexuals in America have a hard enough time already, and self-denial only makes it even harder.

    If an adult _acts_ upon his or her pedophilic desires, then that is wrong according to most laws and cultures. But _do_ all pedophiles act upon their desires?

    You are demonizing pedophilia - which is an internal, private category of desire. You are perhaps misunderstanding something. In humans there is quite often a huge gap between what it thought and what is said, between what is imagined and what is acted upon.

    A young person who finds sexual arousal in 12 or 14 or 16 year-olds grows up and finds those of younger age to still be sexually attractive. That’s wrong? How? Seriously, how? Is a kid supposed to stop liking ice cream when he grows up, too?

    Be careful. One day you’ll grow up and find yourself gazing a bit too long at perfect young body… and you’ll be a pedophile too.

    And then your definitions might change.

    I live in a country where pedophiles get chased out of town by lenchmobs with weapons. (Not really, but it feels like it.)

    My life and well being are more important. So I said to myself that I’ll never be like that.

    I demonize pedophilia. I like the “Pico” series. But I’ll never stare at real-life young children with lustful eyes.

    Yeah, the animu industry should stop producing stuff that’s popular and sells. *eyeroll* I mean, how dare they pander to the markets that have proven to be profitable?

    You can’t really blame businesses for trying to make money (especially nowadays). Producing anime costs a lot of money (to say the least).     I actually just stumbled (yes, accidentally, stumbled. It happens) Onto Pico oneday.
    I got really attached to the story, the sex was a bit weird to watch what with my brain screaming ‘NO NO NOOO He’s THIRTEEN!’.
    But aside from that, these really do have good character development, plots and animation. Real delights really.

    I love this series, so far OVA 2 is my favorite. This one looks promising. I know it’s out already, but I’ve heard people saying they’ve already downloaded/watched it. I’d prefer subs, but if there is none yet I’d love to see the raw, I can’t seem to find it though. Anyone mind pointing me in the right direction?

    Thank you so much. This is indeed the best of its series. I love it, it is now my favorite. They just keep getting better and better. I’ve seen some people being confused as to weather Coco is a girl or boy; Coco is indeed a boy, for obvious reasons =3.
