A 12 or 14 or 16 year-old who lusts after a person his or her same age is not a pedophile, right? So that 12 year-old grows up… and he or she still finds 12 year-olds sexually attractive, and that makes him or her a pedophile, right?

So what is your point?

If an adult _acts_ upon his or her pedophilic desires, then that is wrong according to most laws and cultures. But _do_ all pedophiles act upon their desires?

You are demonizing pedophilia – which is an internal, private category of desire. You are perhaps misunderstanding something. In humans there is quite often a huge gap between what it thought and what is said, between what is imagined and what is acted upon.

A young person who finds sexual arousal in 12 or 14 or 16 year-olds grows up and finds those of younger age to still be sexually attractive. That’s wrong? How? Seriously, how? Is a kid supposed to stop liking ice cream when he grows up, too?

Be careful. One day you’ll grow up and find yourself gazing a bit too long at perfect young body… and you’ll be a pedophile too.

And then your definitions might change.
