Sayaka-chan, 6 Year-Old Idol Akiba’s Youngest Ever

Sayaka-chan here, who debuted into the world of idols at the tender age of 5, has apparently become the youngest idol ever to hold an event in Akihabara, with the event in question celebrating the anniversary of her first image DVD release.

In the year since her debut the youngest “young idol” has released no less than two image DVDs featuring her cavorting in bloomers, swimwear, and similar essential lolicon accessories.

She delighted her excited fans with an accomplished series of gravure poses for the many cameras, as well as handshakes:

In a moment of reflection, she recalls the events of filming earlier in her career: “It was fun to play in the pool and wear the blue swimsuit”.

She is said to aspire to follow in the footsteps of fellow young idol Aya Ueto, who debuted at 15, but is now positively ancient at 23, and may well want to consider retiring gracefully before age forces her hand.

I feel sorry for her, it must be pretty shocking to be stared at an photo’ed by a lot of scary looking lolicon bastards who can’t draw a line between fiction and reality…

Anyways, i think she is a very standard 5 years old girl, even from a cuteness-factor point of view i can’t find anything specially charming about her…

I’m usually very tolerable about many things about Japan, but this goes over the line. I’m ashamed of all the people involved. Though on a side thought, she seems to be happy…for now…

It’s interesting that the comments on the Japanese article are kind of similar to the comments here. Having seen Little Miss Sunshine, and thinking of Jon-Benet Ramsay, maybe the American analog of this — the preteen talent/beauty contest — is not really so different.

There’s an article in Newsweek about the “pornification of a generation” that talks about how little kids are imitating styles that used to be used mainly by porn stars. It would be interesting to know just what effect this has on kids in later life. If it all seems normal to them, maybe they are less damaged than if people make a huge fuss. Or maybe not.

If this was simply about a beauty contest, I’d say that it’s sad but it happens everywhere in the world. But what I find very disturbing is the fact that these people are openly using real children to satisfy their fetishes. I mean, the lolicon implications are pretty obvious. And I think it’s definitely more damaging in the long run if children think that this is normal.

Not so sick, in my country happenned almost the same. A little girl was turned in a pop star, and after that comes the saying of how exploiters were the parents and the managers. Anyway, she took a very good rest of this career so she can live lke a normal child.

This got me the most 15 old enough to retire what, oh you know what happens they turn eighteen go all old and saggy. What the hell is going on, is fifteen now the limit of their popularity.

The actual video/photo shoots themselves for the ones this young are harmless, no more stressful than any other child acting job. Any “damage” she might suffer is going to come later, once she hits puberty and realizes “omg my mom made me act in pedo videos :(” so it’s more of a social thing. I don’t know exactly how big of a worry that should be–I’ll have to leave figuring that out to child psychologists and people smarter than me.

To anyone who claims this is “harmless”. Her playing in the pool, wearing suggestive outfits, and doing suggestive poses while being recorded, is no big deal to her.

But the problem here is this is not a video that the whole family is going to enjoy, your not going to send it to grandma, and its not going to be a “Christmas card video”.

It’s going to be sold to men, who are going to fantasize about touching and penetrating her young 5~6yr old body. And for some reason this is ok with people???

This kind of thing is damaging to our whole society. You could say “well here they do this or that, that’s just their culture”, well no you can’t, she’s 6!!!! And shouldn’t be put on display as a “sex object”.

Just because “she didn’t know” what she was she was doing, who is buying her videos, and what for, doesn’t make it ok.
