New Shakugan no Shana Season?

Interesting news comes from the recent Dengeki Books Autumn Festival; those involved in famed tsundere magical girl anime 灼眼のシャナ / Shakugan no Shana appeared on stage “hinting” at the prospect of a new season.
Seiyuu Rie Kugimiya (Shana) and Satoshi Hino (male protagonist), the original author Yashichiro Takahashi, the illustrator Noizi Ito and the producer all appeared on stage as part of the event, discussing various aspects of the show.
Leaving their onstage antics aside, they soon let slip their surprise to the gleeful audience, saying with respect to part of the original work that “this may be turned into an anime later”.
For “may” you can fairly safely read “will”, as nobody would permit such an announcement otherwise. They soon left the stage after this, leaving the audience with the hint firmly in mind.

The announcement is not at all surprising, given the success of the series. However, many fans question whether the series will be able to reconcile itself with the original work, although it has to be said that such concerns probably will have no bearing on the success of the title.

Kugyuu- err, I mean, Kugimiya Rie's on a VA roll lately... well, good for her.
Considering the series has caught up with the books aside from the most recent one, I doubt that if there is a third season, it will be able to fully capture the spirit of it. I do hope they learned their lesson regarding the first quarter of the season where a lot of people complained about it not feeling like SnS which was quite true considering how much of it wasn't from the novels.
Personally, I didn't mind it that much since no matter what, SnS will always contain that which I enjoy and that is watching my delicious tsundere goddess Shana in action. It did however annoy me how I had to deal with people saying SnS sucked as a result of the anime despite them not knowing anything about the series outside of them watching the first couple episodes of the second season.
pls make a season 3 thx :))
Good News, Sunrise announced that Shakugan Season 3 will start airing October of 2009 YAY!!!
