恋姫†無双 / Koihime Musou Pantsu Battle Anime

Well received eroge adaptation 恋姫†無双 / Koihime Musou keeps up its reasonably strong performance with the addition of battles and service in the eleventh episode, though both are present in moderation, as usual.

The pantsu service in particular is very restrained, being presented stylishly as incidental to the anime, rather than being the main event. Although previous episodes have taken a different approach

The actual story continues to unfold in a rather directionless fashion, though entertaining characters and high production values tend to ameliorate any problems with this. Just why were these marshals wandering around the country causing trouble again? Something to do with unifying all under heaven, or just trying to get their lolis into fixes? Who cares, anyway?

The art is as gaudily well executed and vaguely Chinese as ever, though battle scenes did not look particularly martial.

Any anime where someone trips shrooms is automatically a winner.

You can’t catch a sword with your hands, they proved it on Mythbusters.

But regardless, Kan’u is epic, Bachou on shrooms is epic too, and Chouhi is my loli of the month.

Mythbusters don’t prove everything to full extant. There is chances of catching swords if your experienced enough.

I’ll give you that they didn’t test with a Chinese broadsword, but still, the downward force and edge of the blade, the limited strength of the wrist from that position, and the fleshy sponge texture of the palm simply doesn’t allow for it.

The theory is to catch the blade for a split-second and instead of stopping the force, to revert it in another direction and disarm the opponent, but even then that’s not realistically possible.

The way Chouhi is blocking the sword is more realistic.

Of course, Guan Yu was a man, and there were no french maids in ancient China, so my argument is moot.
