These are excellent, especially how it's collected in a single image.

    3-D > 2-D
The people who like 2-D more than 3-D are mentally unstable and need help.

There's quite a lot of that on this site already, it's called 'cosplay'.

These 2d vs 3d things remind me of hollywood actress's make-up vs sans make-up comparisons.

Looking at that first comparison and then reading things like "generally exhibiting an improvement over the source material" helps me realize why you're all virgins.

1st 2D pic is fucked she's standing straight while the world is turned she's defying gravity. Where as the 3D simply has the whole pic turned.

Shit that's a nice catch, it's apparent from looking at the angle of her thighs but I totally missed that since we're naturally drawn to look at the face.

And now we know how manga & anime artists perceive their women to look like by how they've drawn them.

Its common for all artists to begin their educational background using (nude) models for their studies.

Uneducated artists tend to borrow their art from imageries either from pictures or pictures taken themselves for their requirement. Current trend these days applies the same trick, except its much easier to create by copying the color format from other arts using forms of photoshop programs.

Best way to discern ill-conceived artists is through the ligaments, but most noticeably through how the breasts are drawn; its easy to steal a pose, but bad artists tend to mess up on breasts when they try make them bigger or smaller than the imagery.

yep, i can honestly say as an art student, drawing breast are, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, some of the hardest things to draw on the planet.

Personally i don't see any issues at all drawing (lol pun) inspiration from real life, if that is after all what it is you're attempting to recreate, but traces are skill less.

Myself, and all the other artists i know, excluding none, refer to some 1st hand object, at some time in drawing a pic.

Prime example of how beauty is not the 'presence of perfections' but the 'lack of imperfections'.

Actually, I think she lost her balance in that one.

Drawn girl leans back, and looks to me like she's about to fall over backwards any second now.

Well, you know what they say "art imitates life..." Oh wait... ;)

I've always heard it's best to learn to draw with a real life situation. You can actually get angles, perspective, shadows, etc. correct that way. So this looks like good practice for budding mangaka.

the obsession with 2d over 3d aka reality seems to be going a bit too far perhaps?
