  I seriously doubt athletic shoes and work shoes count as far as the ‘owning many pairs of shoes’ mystery goes. I also own two pairs of athletic shoes (outdoors and indoors), work shoes, generic outdoor shoes, hiking boots and good/formal wear shoes. What you describe is still very ‘male’ in stereotype.
