Giant Hachune Terrorises Town – Matsuri Miku

A giant Hachune Miku recently menaced (or should that be perplexed?) a festival with her leek, though fortunately nobody was injured. Witnesses report that the giant Miku was ensconced over the Asagaya shopping arcade throughout the period of the matsuri, several days, but made no demands.

The matsuri may have ended, but you can see her in event reports, the main one being here; also her in the making on Nico, in three parts: 1, 2, 3. And finally, a brief walk past her. See the entire festival in photos here if you are of a mind to.

At least one source reports local elementary schoolers gleefully pointing out Miku, so it may be that her level of fame is greater than one might think…
