china has too many problems, they hide too many things. if you ever had been to the country side of china, you will puke when you see the condition that everything is in...it's like seeing those kids in Africa but WORST, why worst? because china is suppose to be the richest country in the world right now...they got enough man power and workers to be rich of course...even the chinese media is mostly under government country and will not report even a big threat to their own country. (such as the bird virus years ago...the virus already started and killed many ppl before it got International Attention)

The fact of the matter is that the girl has Elephantitis and not the rest of her family. And yes, she has drawn from the shitty pile of genetic makeup for her life but that doesn't mean that the parents are all to blame for it. granted they did acted very awful for denying their child help. but isn't it more of a miracle that they didn't put her out of her misery earlier? and also, China IS a REALLY shitty place and everyone's gotta look out for themselves. it's understandable that since the parents don't have the funds to fix her up, the next best thing they wish for her is to give her to someone else to take care of and hopefully will be.

I hope that girl suddenly becomes a millionaire- then I want her to slap her parents and rub it in there face & not give them a single cent.

It was the PARENTS fault- they caused the disease in her, you can only get elephantitis genetically, right? And instead of apologizing to her for causing her misery for her entire life, they simply threw her away.

Most of these stories do involve a happy end of sorts, in that they come to the attention of a prying journalist and some netizens kick up a fuss.

However, these are only the stories we hear about - of all the cases where the truth is never outed, or where it is quickly quashed, we hear not a thing, and perhaps in the case of China there is truly an awesome underbelly yet to be exposed...

Things like this would band together a community willing to help in the richer nations, but I guess in a country of a billion people it's survival of the fittest...
