Wide Open AV Watchers

Ignore the story, it’s just about some AV expo in China where plenty of Japanese AV stars are in attendance.

What I thought really entertaining about this are the photos of the crowd. Some incredible expressions on display – every strain of wonder, amazement, yearning, and desperation evident.

Even the police are getting in on the action.

Wide Open AV Watchers

An all too familiar pose and crotch: Akiba’s own Mrs Wide Open.

Aside: I can’t help also but also be amused by the very Chinese usage of watermarks (here they have pirated from each other an image originally by AkibaBlog).

You may be familiar with the historical practice of Chinese art collectors and patrons, where they would apply their big, red seals to the edges, and in some enthusiastic cases, the centres, of the artworks they came into the possession of, so as to assure posterity that, yes, they were the owner of that work – a practice sure to make moderns wince.

This seems something of a continuation of that ancient tradition, of course coupled with problem of rampant piracy.
