Neon Genesis Evangelion merchandising certainly seems to occupy the leading edge; we hear that Evangelion fans are soon to be treated to some futuristic (?) NGE culinary delights in the form of licensed canned bread.

Two flavours are being released; NERV Neo-Tokyo 3 Designated Foodstuff (strawberry) and SEELE BREAD ONLY (chocolate cream).

Goes on sale August for ¥525 a can. Shades of the Evangelion coin lockers; I would normally at this point make a facetious remark as to what ridiculous/innovative product we might expect next, but I fear it might be seized upon and made into an actual product… Via AnimeAnime.
