New Fist of the North Star Anime Air Details

Air dates of the latest anime in the immortal Fist of the North Star franchise have emerged, due October; the title is an adaptation of manga sub-story 北斗の拳 天の覇王ラオウ外伝 / Hokuto no Ken – Ten no Haou – Raou Gaiden, focussed unsurprisingly on Raoh’s antics, with him centre stage.
The series will air weekly starting in October, with the following dates given:
MXTV 10/3 Fri 22:30-22:58
Aichi TV 10/3 Fri 25:28-25:58
Osaka TV 10/7 Tues 26:05-26:35
This from the newly opened official site. Interesting to see how this turns out, as the last OVA seemed a little weak. At least it isn’t an another OAD.

What is the story? Does it continue from the 2nd series? Argh… so many questions…
Who is releasing?
Details are a little scarce:
Nobody says how many episodes it will have; my guess is 13.
The story is based on a five volume manga of the same name which finished last year; it concerns how Raoh ascends to power. The manga is basically a self contained story within the same universe as the main story.
Production appears to be by Satelight.
Instead of the Hakuretsuken we’ll always see the Mouso Ten Sei of Raoh.
I kept up with this series and suddenly uploads just stopped happening. Was the show canceled or something?
