A man (59) who started licking the face of a two-year-old girl, in the middle of a supermarket, for several minutes, continuing even as her mother (45) screamed for him to stop, has thankfully been arrested.
The man apparently called the little girl over to him and started licking her face for some time whilst the mother was distracted; upon noticing her infant being so licked, she soon cried for him to stop, but he ignored her and continued licking. A male shop employee arrived and separated him from his quarry, after which he was promptly arrested.
His reason? “She was cute so I licked her”. Via Sanspo.
Is there something strange about this story, or is this just a normally strange story? At least he wasn’t a teacher…

How could the mother actually leave a two year old child unsupervised? Then again, you really kind of expect these things to happen there.
And why'd she only scream and wait for a shop assistant? Why didn't she try to separate him from her child (or take a can to his head?). Also, though, what was the reaction of the child? Bewildered? Did it scream? Did it find it amusing?
This is one of those rare moments where I'mnot sure if I should laugh or cry, so I'll just cop out and say what the hell. Seriously, this is extremely, extremely creepy. Then agian, at least he didn't kidnap her and she will not remember it when she gets older, so I guess it all works out in the end.
WOW I had to laugh at not only what the fool did but what the mother did as well. If some old man came up and licked my 2yr old daughter my wife would not only scream but then proceed to ram her shopping cart into the guy and then rip his tongue out and chop it into little pieces. And then she would get creative.
A lead nail through the tongue as a starter would be best, along with ample use of salt and habanero sauce before cutting it out. That's after making sure he can't move before beginning.
