This unfortunate young lady (23) is not pregnant; at least not with child – she harbours instead a truly gargantuan tumourous growth in her belly, which has grown to its current proportions over the last two years or so, and seems set to be her undoing.
Treatment is not forthcoming: she is poor and of limited means, with no family, and Chinese health care is expensive.
What will the grisly conclusion of such a continuing affliction be? The morbidly obvious conclusion is none too appealing, though as she is having trouble eating she may at least be spared that… Her future does not look bright.

oh my god… this girl is suffering so much. it’s obvious. i really hope these pictures bring out some strong reaction, at last! from the chinese government. how could the doctors let this poor girl come in for consultation and then let her go without treating her for her terrible sickness?!?! i wonder when these pictures were taken and what happened to the girl.
if i was her… i would have taken my own life, instead of waiting in vain for help, that is, if help never comes and the suffering will only get worse. i don’t think she’ll implode or something like that… it’s a tumor, so it’s not something that’s filled in with liquid or whatever. it’s got to be removed. if done right, the operation should save her life and leave only a few marks around her belly.
