Its not all that bad. I mean it is the real world. You just gotta look away from you monitor or TV screen for a few minutes to realize true beauty. I love 2d artwork too, but it will never make up for the love of a true woman.

"i'm so glad i'm a man so i don't have to wear make-up" .. guess why women have to look pretty? mostly because of men who are taught (and yes they are) by media what is pretty and what is not. it all starts when you are young and stroll through a store seeing cover models or some tv show where they also exactly know what 'society' wants.

most of those women wouldn't have been called ugly some decades ago as they were treated as for what they are and not for what they look like.

take europe: 200 years ago it was great and extremely sexy to be overweight/fat as it meant that one has money. nowadays it's definitely not.

so if media didn't put that (wrong?) picture of women into all our heads and if "society" would accept/ignore that all day long, then you guys here wouldn't really have a problem with your so-called ugly girls.

now go back to clara.jpg and nagato.png and rub one out again. at least no real girl will have to cry over such opinions. :P

Well, I think some of the befores didn't look too bad, and some others still looked bad with the makeup.

I honestly find it baffling how anyone could buy into idols. I can understand admiring their looks part, people are only human, but I find them so put up and contrived that I can't relate to how people are actually convinced by them. I have a friend who worships idols and she shares a lot of it with me, so it's not like I haven't seen enough of it to know.

It seems to be an Asian thing. There is always a certain overly contrived way tv personalities and idols act on tv, and a way dolled up girls like the ones in this gallery pose for cameras. They're always scrunching and angling their faces to try to achieve the ideal "cute" look, and it's glaringly obvious.

It always gave me the impression that they're hiding behind the ideal image of what a desirable girl should be like and hamming it up rather than relying on actual charisma or being themselves. It's one of the aspects of Korean/Japanese/Chinese pop culture that alienates me from it despite being surrounded by a lot of people who are into it. Just my thoughts.

Some of the girls(some of the asian ones (below 40 years) of course <_<) are really ok even without the makeup, even if they aren't "beautyful" they are still appealing to my eyes. Better off with a neat girl and no rivals instead of a "beauty" for like "a week?"/"a month?" or even just "a night?" because the shocking truth is that she's an ugly old hag below her "archaeological cultural layers" and once they "erode" away, the "oldest stratum" that looks like a "paleolithic tool maker camp site" comes forth (the lowest layer is always the oldest/original layer; stratigraphic law No. 1 xD).

Let's hope for you all that the erosion-effect is strong enough that these "cultural layers" won't survive long enough (at least at a party you can fake being drunken and just remove the girls make-up if she's wasted xD) so that you won't have any nightmares afterwards

Most of these women would look perfectly fine with better lighting, a smile on their face, and a different hair style. There's more to how you look than makeup, something as simple as your posture affects your attractiveness.

true that. men don't realize that even if the girl is cute and happens to not be wearing make-up, they still work hard to get clear skin, a nice figure, and shiny hair. even so called natural beauty takes a lot of work. and also it's pretty funny seeing comments about girls talking about their natural beauty when it's obvious to any girl that they are wearing eyeliner, concealer, and mascara. hahaha
