There can hardly be any doubt by now that headphones are the new moe item, perhaps set to supplant megane as the premier accessory for otaku to fuss over. With this is mind, I have painstakingly compiled a headphone moe musume gallery, featuring many extremely appealing 2D girls sporting fine headphones. My favourite is above.

Fans of headphone moe may be interested in this new headphone moe anthology, featuring art by such luminaries as Yoshitoshi Abe (needs no introduction), KEI (who draws Hatsune Miku), Otaku Beam (see below), Yukimi (eromangaka), and a host of others.

The illustrations towards the end of this gallery tend towards a more adult nature, so they are more ero than moe, but who is going to quibble over such a thing?

This series of illustrations is by Otaku Beam, who seems to be a leading proponent of headphone moe; he also draws some exceedingly good erotic dojinshi – highly recommended.
However, I do not under any circumstances recommend the below illustrated Sennheiser HD 650 – they may sound good, but I have had several pairs break on me due to pathetic build quality. Instead, I suggest the Denon AH-D5000 – great sounding and robustly built, with good noise isolation… I couldn’t find a picture of a girl wearing them though.

I was surprised as just how little headphones feature in the work of Range Murata, but this will have to do.

would it be possible to make a downloadable hi-res pack of all the pictures ?
The resolution is as-is, I’m afraid. I’m still looking into the matter of easier jpg getting. For the moment, you can access the gallery folder directly, so that might ease matters…
If you’re using firefox, i would suggest getting the add-on Bazzacuda Image Saver 2.0
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2331
Mouse 3 click everything, and save =D
Possibly the best add-on on firefox, next to Adblock plus
Thank you for that, I needed such a tool too. Adblock Plus is great too, but Rikaichan is certainly up there as well if you need Japanese functionality.
hehe, nice to see Grado RS-1 and Etymotic ER-4S, my fave phones =3
