A former porn star has been arrested for defrauding a doctor of some ¥26,000,000 through a dating club scam; washed up porn star (or at least, AV “actress”) 香野みか/Mika Kouno, at 36 now too old to be performing (except perhaps in certain niche roles), instead over the last few years teamed up with another ne’er-do-well to orchestrate a scheme of fraud and prostitution which would leave one particularly dense doctor ruing the day he joined their club.
Apparently the crooked duo ran their dating club as a racket, and soon snared themselves a particularly pliant and loaded mark, in the form of a doctor in his 50’s. After the good doctor applied to their newspaper ad, the male half of the criminal pair promised him the ideal women, if he’d only pony up a finder’s fee.
The doctor paid, and soon had his meeting with his dream women; the man then threatened to pull the bait out of from under his nose, saying “She’s into you, she’s paid her deposit. If you don’t pay your deposit too, you can’t meet up – if you quit here you’ll lose it all”, which proved successful in keeping the cash flowing.
Their method is certainly exemplary, displaying a cunning appreciation of how to psychologically ennare their gullible victim into not feeling he could back out without losing his investment, and his chance at a lady twenty years his junior.
