The teacher, in her 40s, fiddled the books over a yearlong period, using the pilfered cash to pay down her debts and rack up even more debts with shopping and high life.
She was sacked for her creative accounting, though we do not hear of any criminal charges, perhaps since she paid back the “borrowed” funds; the headmaster also made amends by forgoing a month’s salary for not bothering to do any auditing, and for stamping all her receipts.
